Sausage Gravy

This is the official Bob Evans recipe for sausage gravy. I use it all the time, but it’s easier to go here to get it than to figure out where its been moved around to on the Bob Evans website.

Note that this is only a recipe for the gravy, not the biscuits. I just make Bisquick biscuits, so feel free to make whatever you like better.

Yields: 1 pan of Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork sausage. You can do a roll/tube of it, or even uncooked patties if you’d rather
  • ¼ Cup flour
  • 2 Cups milk
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

  • Crumble and cook sausage in large skillet over medium heat until browned
  • Stir in flour until dissolved
  • Gradually stir in milk
  • Cook gravy until thick and bubbly
  • Season with salt and pepper
  • Serve hot over biscuits. Refrigerate leftovers
