Peanut Butter Blossoms
Peanut butter cookies with a hershey kiss on top. As classic a dessert recipe as you can get.
This was originally a Gluten Free recipe, though it works just as well with regular Bisquick.

Preparation time: 30 minutes prep + 1 hour to cool in fridge
Cooking time: 8-10 minutes

¾ Cup Granulated Sugar½ Cup Packed Brown Sugar½ Cup Peanut Butter¼ Cup Shortening¼ Cup Butter, softened1 Egg1½ Cups Bisquick Gluten Free Mix48 Hershey Kisses

In a large bowl, mix ½ cup of the granulated sugar, along with all of the brown sugar, peanut butter, shortening, butter and egg.Stir in Bisquick.Cover and refigerate for 1 hour (or until firm).Heat oven to 375°.Place the remaining ¼ cup of granulated sugar in a bowl.Shape dough into 1 inch balls; roll in granulated sugar. On ungreased cookie sheets, place balls 2 inches apart.Bake cookies for 8 to 10 minutes or until light golden brown. Immediately top each cookie with 1 Hershey Kiss, pressing down firmly so cookie cracks around edge. Remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks.
